Shanghai English Proficiency Test Registration Notice
Dear test takers,
We are pleased to announce the latest updates regarding the Shanghai English Proficiency Test (SEPT) registration. The SEPT, which includes the levels of CET-4 and CET-6, is scheduled to take place on August 12th, 2023.
To ensure a smooth registration process, please carefully read and adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Eligibility:
- Test takers must be currently enrolled in a higher education institution or have graduated within the past two years.
- only students from Shanghai-based universities are eligible to participate in the SEPT.
2. Registration Period:
- The registration period for the SEPT begins on July 15th and ends on August 5th, 2023.
- Late registration will not be accepted. Please make sure to complete your registration within the specified period.
3. Registration Procedure:
- All registration must be done online through the official SEPT website.
- After filling out the registration form, you will need to upload a recent passport-sized photo and a scanned copy of your valid student ID card.
- Pay the registration fee of 50 RMB via an online payment method.
4. Admit Card Collection:
- Admit cards can be collected one week prior to the examination date at the designated locations which will be announced on the SEPT website.
- You must bring your valid student ID card and the payment receipt when collecting the admit card.
5. Test Format:
- The SEPT consists of listening, reading, writing, and speaking sections.
- Detailed information about the test format and sample questions can be found on the SEPT website.
