Shanghai English Proficiency Test (CET) Registration Dates and Regulations Announcement

We are pleased to inform you that the registration dates for the upcoming Shanghai English Proficiency Test (CET) have been finalized. The CET is an essential examination for students seeking to showcase their English language abilities. It is designed to evaluate your listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. Please pay careful attention to the following dates and regulations to ensure a smooth registration process.
The registration period for the July CET exam will begin on August 1st and end on August 15th. During this period, all eligible students must complete the registration process online through the official CET website. Please ensure that you have a valid ID card, as it will be required for registration. Late registrations will not be accepted under any circumstances, so please mark these dates on your calendar and plan accordingly.
In order to participate in the CET, you must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student of a recognized university or college in Shanghai. Additionally, you must have completed at least two years of study at your current institution. Students from non-English majors are also welcome to register. However, it is important to note that the CET is currently only available for Chinese citizens.
The examination fee for the CET is set at 80 RMB per candidate. The payment can be made online during the registration process. Please keep in mind that the examination fee is non-refundable, even in cases of absence or withdrawal from the test.
once you have successfully registered, you will receive a confirmation email with your test date, time, and venue details. It is essential that you carefully review this information and make any necessary arrangements for transportation and accommodation in advance.
We kindly remind all test-takers to arrive at the examination venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled start time. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Please also bring your ID card and the confirmation email printout for verification purposes.
