The Official Announcement of Registration Dates for the Biannual CET-4 and CET-6 English Examinations

We are delighted to announce the registration dates for the upcoming biannual College English Test (CET) level 4 and level 6 examinations, which will be held in the second half of this year. The CET examinations are vital assessments for English language proficiency in China, and passing these exams is a requirement for many Chinese university students.
Registration for the CET examinations will open on August 1st, 2023, and close promptly on September 15th, 2023. During this period, candidates will have ample time to complete the registration process at their respective universities or authorized test centers around the country. It is advised that applicants check the official CET website for detailed information regarding registration locations and requirements.
Following the registration period, candidate confirmation letters will be made available on October 1st, 2023. These letters will contain important information such as the specific examination date, examination center location, and other relevant details. Applicants can access their confirmation letters by logging into their CET accounts on the official website. It is crucial that candidates review these details carefully and contact the CET office immediately if any discrepancies are found.
The CET-4 examination is scheduled to take place on November 18th, 2023, while the CET-6 examination will be held on November 19th, 2023. Both exams will commence at 9:00 AM and last for a duration of three hours. Candidates are advised to arrive at least thirty minutes before the scheduled start time to complete the necessary check-in procedures.
The CET examinations consist of four sections: listening, reading, writing, and translating. These tests aim to evaluate the candidates' abilities in listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing skills, and translation competence. It is essential that applicants familiarize themselves with the structure and content of the exams to adequately prepare for the assessments.
In order to ensure a smooth examination process, candidates must bring their confirmation letter, valid identification card, and other necessary stationery items specified by the CET office. Electronic devices, such as mobile phones and smartwatches, are strictly prohibited during the exam.
